HOA Status Update 5/13/19

Hello, Homeowners/Renters,

Just wanted to get you all up on current events with the HOA we are working away to get items completed by the summer time.

Pool
We are doing a few renovations for the pool area such as new grills and furniture and one surprise that you all will not see until the pool opens. We have not started to issue cards yet, but after next week we plan on reviewing access and issuing pool cards as needed and requested. We will also have a robot pool cleaner for the days that the pool cleaner is not out and the pool needs cleaning.

Landscape
We are working on the landscape when it comes to dead areas and dead shrubbery etc. We are also making sure in flower beds that any grass that sprouts we treat immediately and ensure that we are using the correct amount of chemicals. We did overseed in a few areas to get some areas up to speed. We also have about 80% of our irrigation working we will install new controllers for the entire HOA within the next few days if the weather works with us.

Summer Activities
I am currently putting a calendar together for community events and will publish once I have an idea of what manpower is needed to complete some of the activities. So if you had an older responsible teenager that wanted to potentially make a few dollars let one of the board members know. Some activities Movie Nights, Pool Volleyball league, Homeowner workshops. We also have a community garden group that we are trying to get up to speed we only have a few weeks actually to get something planted.

Playground
We will be closing the playground this year to evaluate what we have and potentially move the area maybe for a pavilion area. And move the playground and shrinking it by 70%.

Budget
We are still on budget and action items are being taken care of in the order of priority or neglect. We are almost at the half-year mark, and cash flow in and out is good. I will post a few charts later for anyone interested.

Issues
We have noticed a massive influx of surrounding communities dumping trash and kitchen appliances in the man Princeton Blvd. I am also looking for volunteers for a few committees. I have a few individuals that have reached out to me and working on getting them on a community project.

Princeton news
I have sent an inquiry to TexDot about a light at our entrance as well as requested when that death wall will be taken down. The condos next to us are not the most organized or friendly individuals so still gathering info on how we will co-exist as a neighboring community.

HOA Meeting
If you can make it  May 16th, 2019 to be held at the Princeton Meadows Pool Center. The Open Session will be held at 7:00 PM. Come with any questions concerns etc.

  1. Why do we have to close the playground to evaluate what we have ? Also why are we considering shrinking it by 70 % ? It seams fine to me, just needs the area maintained. Thanks

    1. Hello Wayne,

The playground needs to be close to evaluate to prevent any liability issues as safety is my priority. Also, the equipment that was built is currently not compliant. And yes you are correct that area needs to be maintained more but the bigger issue is making sure we do not remove an amenity that exists before without a solid plan and future goals as well as maintenance for playground equipment. Let me know if this helps and you can also give me a call to talk more if you had more questions.
